Caliber Collision Recycled Rides FlyerCaliber Collision announced it is teaming up with GEICO to donate three refurbished, late-model vehicles in April and are seeking nominations from the Tucson community for deserving recipients.

The multi-car giveaway is part of Caliber Collision’s Recycled Rides program. The vehicles are donated by GEICO and refurbished by Caliber employees who volunteer their personal time as a community service project.

Nominations for Caliber’s Recycled Rides program can be submitted by individuals on behalf of their friends, family members, neighbors, co-workers, or self-nominated. Service organizations are encouraged to submit nominations for their clients and constituents.

Potential recipients must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to insure and maintain the vehicle. Final selection will be made by an independent committee of local community leaders. Nominations can be made online at and must be received by March 15.

“Reliable transportation is something many of us take for granted but for those without it, everyday activities like going to work, school, shopping, simply taking care of their families, presents a challenge,” said Michael Quinn, Caliber Collision Vice President for Industry & Community Relations. “Recycled Rides is one way in which Caliber Collision can give back to the local communities we serve.”

In the past year, Caliber donated 15 vehicles nationwide to struggling families, individuals and nonprofit organizations. The company plans to double that number in 2013, according to Quinn.
