Getting Your Holidays on Tucson Style

The Sons of Orpheus

I heard Santa wears a Stetson and cowboy boots and rides a painted pony…

The Sons of Orpheus presented their 14th Annual concert benefiting the Community Food Bank last night at the Berger Performing Arts Center. The choir opened by presenting Food Bank CEO Bill Carnegie with over $6000 raised by the choir members prior to the show. The ever-efficient Food Bank will leverage that money to over $60,000 in food for the needy.

Remember, there is still time to donate and receive full Arizona tax credit for your gift and the Community Food Bank is a great choice for this holiday season — a season that has seen requests more than double for Food Bank resources.

Upcoming Holiday Concerts

Winterhaven Lights

Winterhaven Opens December 10

Winterhaven Festival of Lights opens it’s 62nd year this Saturday evening. Please bring a generous donation of canned goods for the Community Food Bank (or a donation of course). Check the schedule for times and directions. All of these organizations bringing so much talent and beauty to the community are nonprofit organizations. For many, these events are major fundraisers. Take time to enjoy with family and friends.

Time to get out my silly Santa hats!
