Supervises ASDM’s volunteer and internship programs and provides direction, coordination, and consultation for all volunteer/internship functions within the organization. Identifies and develops volunteer/internship opportunities. Recruits, interviews, and places applicants in volunteer/internship positions and conducts orientation for new volunteers/interns. Develops procedures and policies for ASDM’s volunteer/internship programs and updates handbook that informs volunteers/interns of benefits, policies, procedures, and standards of service. Develops and oversees program budget. Maintains accurate records (hours data, awards, database, etc.) and provides timely statistical and activity reports on volunteer/intern contributions.
A Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Volunteer Management Certification is highly desirable. Knowledge of methods related to the conduct of non-profit organizations’ volunteer programs preferred.
