Symphony Women’s Association Estate and Treasure Shop Sale

| April 10, 2013

Tucson nonprofit provides music lessons to underserved children

TSWA logoThe Symphony Women’s Association is having an Estate Sale this Friday and Saturday. Featured are items from their quaint Treasure Shop as well as donations from members with a focus on furniture and household accessories.

This unique, volunteer run organization has been around for 60 years. For the past 30 years, a large part of their efforts have been to expose children to the beauty of music. Why?

THE IMPORTANCE OF MUSIC EDUCATION?
Besides the resulting musical skills in the study of music, students directly benefit in greater scholastic achievement and develop quality traits that carry into all aspects of life. TSWA’s nationally recognized Music Education Program completely underwrites music instruction and programs, furnishing music books and instruments to students on a need and merit basis.

I think that say’s it better than I can. Visit their website at tswatucson.org¬†and plan to drop by the sale and support our future musicians.
