When is the Best Time to Post on Facebook? It Depends on Your Followers

The problem with some of the conventional wisdom about when the best time to post is that the studies are based on global statistics that are not just misleading, they are actually harmful to your attempt to reach a local audience. My clients that work primarily with an elder audience might have a different metric than those that are trying to reach working parents. Fun article that talks about some of the reasons why you might want to look carefully at your insights rather than take what is on the latest infographic as gospel (even though we really like infographics!).

Facebook marketers have obsessed over figuring out the best time to post on Facebook for years now.  So much time, money, and effort has been put into finding an answer to this problem.  Heck, it’s one of the main reasons we started PostRocket.  But one major issue I’ve seen in the approach taken by many people in study after study is obsessing over finding one universal answer, one answer that applies equally every single one of the 50 million+ Facebook pages out there.  There is no shortage of answers, as a quick google search will yield a couple billion results.
